Tertullian (160-220)
Tertullian was a prolific writer and author from Carthage and another influential African man to impact the Christian faith and the world for over a millenia after his death. Tertullian was the first Christian author to produce an extensive quantity of Christian literature in Latin. An avid apologist for the Christian faith and a debater against heresy, Tertullian consistently engaged and confounded those that wanted to propagate a false gospel. He was instrumental in verbalizing and creating new theological concepts and was integral to the development of early Church doctrine.
